Hell No Don't Go To Iraq - My Open Letter To Senator and Mrs. Barack Obama

I love and support you Senator Barack Obama. You have exhibited sound judgment before the war in Iraq and during this historic campaign season. Senator you have announced to the world that our troops are coming home; that the unlimited and non-ending dollars are going to end when you become President of the United States of America. Now John McCain is demanding that you travel to Iraq. Please trust your first response to a trip to Iraq. This whole notion of a trip to Iraq is indeed a political ploy by desperate people that will do “ANYTHING” to win this election.

Mrs. Obama I admired your courage. After hearing you discuss the dread possibilities that your wonderful husband may encounter I took comfort in the fact that you are not "afraid." That you are not living your life fearful of the fact that based on our political history your husband personal safety is at a great risk.

I must admit that I am “afraid” for Senator Obama. My fears are based on the recent events of Huckabees' "joke", the Fox News personality’s comment, and Hillary's misspoken comments on Robert Kennedy’s assassination.

Two recent world political events that also make me fearful for Senator Obama’s safety are Pakistan's Benazir Bhutto assassination and the poisoning of Alexander Litvinoenko, a former Russian KGB operative in 2007.

Senator Obama Three Self-Explanatory Reasons That You Should Not Go To Iraq:

1. Blackwater USA is one of three United States-based security firms contracted by the State Department to provide security for diplomats and other senior civilians in Iraq. According to the New York Times, Blackwater guards the most prominent American diplomats. The NY Times also reported that Blackwater has received government contract worth more than 1 billion dollars since 2002.

2. Pakistan's Benazir Bhutto assassination occurred in December 2007 as she was campaigning ahead of the January 8, 2008, scheduled elections. President Pervez Musharraf’s government was responsible for Bhutto’s safety and security. According to one of Robert Novak’s columns, "the assassination of Benazir Bhutto followed two months of urgent pleas to the State Department by her representatives for better protection. The U.S. reaction was that she was worried over nothing, expressing assurance that Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf would not let anything happen to her."

3. Baghdad is one of the most dangerous place in the world. A place so dangerous that even when President George Bush and/or Vice President Cheney go to Iraq they violate Iraq’s airspace and arrive unannounced. They arrive unannounced because they fear that the Iraq government and police will betray them and have them killed. Think about this for a second, if Bush is afraid that he will be killed in Iraq after spending and giving hundreds of billions of dollars to that country how safe would Senator Obama be in Iraq?

Senator Obama, I like many of your supporters would love to have you as our President. The only thing that would make me happier than you becoming President Obama would be for you to live a long and full life. A long life that includes you attending the high school and college graduation of your beautiful daughters. (Please remember the words from your wonderful Father’s Day speech your girls need you too). To know that you were a good husband for your beautiful and loving wife for 50 years is worth more than you “proving” your legitimacy by going on a trip to Iraq.

This is God’s divine purpose for your life Senator Obama. The only way that you will lose this election is if your name is not on the ballot.
