Morgan Freeman, Herman Cain Get Into It Over the Tea Party

herman cain, morgan freeman fight over the tea party

Your Black World reports

Morgan Freeman took the time this week to describe his feelings about the Tea Party.  Of course, Herman Cain did not agree.   When someone mimicked his voice for an ad supporting the conservatives, Freeman went further to describe what he believes to be the racist agenda of the Tea Party Movement.

In an interview on CNN, Freeman said that the movement is “a racist thing.”

"Their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term," Freeman said. "What underlines that? 'Screw the country. We're going to whatever we can to get this black man outta here.'"

Freeman continued.

"We're supposed to be better than that," Freeman continued. "We really are. That's, that's why all those people were in tears when Obama was elected president. 'Ah, look at what we are. Look at how, this is America.' You know? And then it just sort of started turning because these people surfaced like stirring up muddy water."

Republican Presidential candidate Herman Cain responded to Freeman by saying “This isn’t a movie.”

He also said this:

"Well, first of all, I doubt if Morgan Freeman, with all due respect, who is a great actor, has ever been to a Tea Party," Cain said. "Most of the people that are criticizing the Tea Parties ... about having a racist element, they have never been to a Tea Party."

We at Your Black World only wonder – does having a black man defend you against racism relieve you of the accusation altogether?

MR CAIN YOU ARE A OREO COOKIE.THEIR SHOULD BE A COFFIE PARTY TO GO UP AGAINST THE LITTLE tea party.THIS IS JUST WHAT I THINK OF THEM AND your litt self.

Why must Mr. Cain defend any organization from an unfounded accusation? Isn't the burden of proof on the accuser? Perhaps I only think this way because I'm a middle aged white man, but is the racial term "Oreo" acceptable to the readers of this column?

I myself have never been to a tea party and frankly I wish that it might have been called something different.
The name " Tea Party " only refers to any American that wants our freedoms restored to us.
Government is controling almost all and everything in our lives and little by little our freedoms and what we have died and fought for in this country- The right to work and not have the federal goverment telling us what we can and can't do- Taking over our banks, Student Loans- etc and also passing a Healthcare law which is going to prove to be so expensive to our country it won't even be believed if it does go through.

As for higher taxes for the rich- millionaires They are the job creators and if they are taxed more than they are now- the cost of those taxes will just be passed on to us with more expensive products and our bills will increase even more. The " Tea Party ( just ordinary citizens who see our freedom being taken from us. There is a reason why jobs have left here and gone to China and other places- This is not a employment invirnment that small business owners want to do business with so they have taken their plants and such out of the country because its more cost effective for them. I am a concerned citizen and I want government to cut restricting and setting up roadblocks and demands against these small businesses so that the USA will again be business friendly.

THE TEAPARTY is just a name for people any people- all walks of life and ethnics that are tired of business as usual and do not want this socialist government that we have now in the USA to continue.

Mr. Pizza, although my question is rhetorical because I've researched your business background...how many black males/females have you personally assisted in becoming business owners? Now, my second question, how many whites have you assisted in opening businesses?
I'm not going to refer or resort to name calling, but Morgan Freeman is more man than you'll ever be, riding or walking! You are with whom you align yourself, too bad you couldn't change your complexion....although you've tried.

In answer to your question YBW; Hell No! There has always been those uncle toms who would sell out their own mother for a chance to kiss ass, needless to say the respect and dignity of their own people for filthy loot.

I am glad that Herman Cain and the rest of the tea party keep mocking and "making light of" the tragic economic situation that we are in.

We are headed to a situation where there will be mass riots all over the country.

We saw that months go when state legislators tried to bust unions and take away retirement benefits in at least five states.

Police on the state and federal levels had to be called in.

I worked on the Obama campaign. He won because the Republicans put too many young white couples out of work weeks before the election. The fall of Lehman, WaMU, Wachovia, etc. caused many to vote for Obama out of rage. After all, how do you think Arnold won in California?

Keep laughing...keep mocking the american people.

For those who defend the Tea Bag Party, you had no problems when Bush Jr helped cause the mess that Obama inherited. We saw the and heard all the racist things that came from you. The Tea Bags and Republicans said in the beginning we will not work with Obama, to every sane black person that meant we're not gonna work with no nig**r. This has nothing to do with politics, it's all about a black man as our president. So stop making excuses for the tea party, if this was about government they would have protested against Bush Jr, get real

You don't need to attend a "Tea Party Klan" rally to know what they party represents. All you have to do is remember the ugly posters of Obama they carried around in their protest rallies.

Remember the one of Obama with the face of a monkey and a tail around his neck and oh yes, the poster of Obama with big black eyes and big black lips or was it big white eyes and big white lips that said Go back to Africa ? Plus, if you really want to know what the Tea is all about, simply Google search "Tea Party posters of Obama".

Tea Party is nothing but a modern day Klu Klux Klan without the pillow cases hiding their faces and for
For Mr. Cain, the only black man running for president in the Republican party and also to be a member of the Tea Party, is totally disgusting and an insult to the entire black race. He's nothing but a black Sarah Palin wearing a suit.

Oh by the way,,,,Am I the only one that has noticed how the red neck Republicans keeps digging up people to "beat" Obama ? Am I the only one that has noticed how the Tea Party came into play to help the Republicans fight against and "beat" Obama and how they pulled Sarah Palin out of the governors office to fight and "defeat" Obama and how they are still digging ?

WOW ! ! Am I the only one that has noticed they actually had to do all of this to to fight against one black man in the White House.

Herman just won a Straw Poll in Florida by double digits over Perry and Romney.

Those voting for Herman Cain said they voting to show their Discomfort with the Current Republicans Candidates not for Cain for President.

However, Mr. Cain looking to make it off the Backs of his Ancestors and as some do is looking to Make a Buck anyway he can even at the slapping his own community in the face

Herman Cain know exactly what the Tea Party Stands for and Morgan Freeman is right

As for that Lie about the Rich are the Job Creators, No Americans are the Job creators

Here's the real truth about who in this country creates Jobs

Elizabeth Waren

Nobody In This Country Got Rich On Their Own

“I hear all this, you know, ‘Well, this is class warfare, this is whatever,’” Warren said.

“No. There is Nobody in this Country who got rich on his own — Nobody.

“You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear.

You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for.

You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate.

You were safe in your factory because of police-forces and fire-forces that the rest of us paid for.

You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory — and hire someone to protect against this — because of the work the rest of us did.

“Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea. God bless — keep a big hunk of it.

BUT.... part of the underlying social contract is, you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.”

Hey, I never been to a Klu Klux Klan meeting either! And like the Tea Party, I'm sure I don't have to be there to know the vibe of the participants.

Words like "oreo" are necessary creations to describe characters like Herman Cain or Clarence Thomas, who are African Americans but who essentially think like some white racist. He (Herman Cain)agrees with those right-wing extremists whose policy positions, if adopted, would destroy the fabric of this country. I have great difficulty comprehending why an African American, of all people, could belong to or support the policies of the Republican/Tea Party.

Mr Cain has truly jumped the shark, despite the political fire storm which continually steeps the "Tea" in which he has soaked his 9,9,9 in! I hope he told his "God Father" about his step & fetch it ways! Shine on bloCaine!!!!

No, Mr. Cain this ISN'T a movie, nor is it a pizza place! I have attended a Tea Party rally, well, they were on campus and I was curious. They held signs of Mr. Obama wearing a beard and dressed like Bin Laden and they were calling him a terrorist and saying he wasn't American because his name isn't American. Don't try to defend the Tea Party to me because they ARE racist and just because once again a black fool decides to be their mascot doesn't make them any less racist! This country has been a realization of how far we've REALLY come on the issue of race! The racists are surfacing everywhere and their disguises are so transparent! How can you love your country, but not want what is best for your country? The more they pretend like it's everything except race, the more it's apparent that it IS about race! Stop the madness. I would at least respect a person who just admitted that they were not ready for a black President and they want him out. It's the clowns who smile and sit 'clenched' and half pretend they love this country, while scheming to screw the country because screwing Obama is more important.

Jim Crow ran like a scared rabbit the day that white man shot Dr. King and negroes as we were called then became very angry , set out to burn America up and down and expressed enough is enough. In less than 50 years these same white folk then as the generations continuing are telling black folk, ok that was then and this is now. the audacity of these people never cease to amaze and President Obama growing up with the guide of white grandparents knew it was the time to shake, rattle, and roll with white guilt and disrupt their innermost racism and seek the presidency of America. Now they feel in the words of Malcom, they've been had, bamboozled, hoodwinked, taken advantage of, like a smug that has been drugged. Watchout Mr. President, you're a novelty no more and white folk America with the yessir black folk wants you outta there.

Does anyone reallly believe that "raising the riches taxes will encourage them to take jobs our of the US?" Really? Then why have they been taking them out during the eight years of the Bush presidency when they were given lower taxes? Explain that?
Do you really believe they would increase the price of their products if taxed, all this means is, "I make Two Million dollars a year and regardless of what I'm taxed or why, I MUST continue to make Two Million dollars per year. Recession? Does no does not matters. Whatever it takes I MUST be RICH. I'm just shocked at all of the poor people out of working or getting a poor wage who support this nonsense.
Those who believe "Obama care" will be bad for the country never offer a real suggestion for the MILLIONS of people without health insurance. This too is nonsense. They believ The rich deserse every dollar they want and the rests take what the rich gives us, dribble.
