Hillary Clinton Projected to Win Ohio, Texas

Some say that Hillary Clinton regained her swagger last night. At the very least, she isn't out of the race yet. Senator Clinton is projected to win both Ohio and Texas, two very big states in the race for the Democratic nomination. She also won Rhode Island, while Barack Obama won Vermont.

In Ohio, Clinton won 54% of the vote, and Obama had 44%. In Texas, she had 51% vs. 48% for Obama. The numbers are based on projections after having 99% of all precincts reporting.

"For everyone here in Ohio and across America who's been ever been counted out but refused to be knocked out, for everyone who has stumbled but stood right back up, and for everyone who works hard and never gives up -- this one is for you," Clinton said last night in Ohio.

"You know what they say," she said. "As Ohio goes, so goes the nation. Well, this nation's coming back and so is this campaign."

Barack Obama claimed that his team still has nearly enough delegates to win the election.

"We know this: No matter what happens tonight, we have nearly the same delegate lead as we had this morning, and we are on our way to winning this nomination," Obama stated at a rally in Texas.

On the Republican side, Senator John McCain won Texas, Ohio, Vermont and Rhode Island, clinching the GOP nomination.

"I am very, very grateful and pleased to note that tonight, my friends, we have won enough delegates to claim with confidence, humility and a great sense of responsibility, that I will be the Republican nominee for president of the United States," McCain said last night.

"It's now important that we turn our attention not to what could have been or what we wanted to have been, but now what must be -- and that is a united party," said McCain's rival, Mike Huckabee.

McCain is now expected to go to The White House to receive the endorsement of President Bush. His campaign has come back quite a bit after nearly dying last year.

In Texas, Clinton defeated Obama with Hispanics 2 to 1. Obama dominated the black vote with 83%. Only 16% of black voters supported Hillary Clinton. Obama won most of the young voters, and older voters favored Clinton. For those over the age of 60, Clinton won 67% of the vote.

Clinton is a fighter. Regardless Boyce and others if you are made at her perceived racial jabs, her and her husband are the ONLY DEMOCRATS in the past 30 years who ran the White House.

Dukasis could not do it.
Mondale could not do it.
Gore could not do it even though he had a strong economy.
Kerry could not do it.

They know how to scrap and fight. She is a fighter and Americans love fighters or those who don't quit.

Remember the race is not given to the fast nor the swift, but to those who endure. Like I say, the lesson is that they need to be a TICKET. That is what Douglass v. Anthony/Scanton did not realize and that is the challenge we face today.

Obama needs to wise up to it. Clinton needs her and he needs him to win in Nov-08 which is the ultimate goal and more importantly build the coalition for the Democrats to regain a substantial lead in the Senate to get legislation passed.

So you say that Hillary is a fighter. I say that even Jesus was crucified bacause of false witnesses. You`re getting back to the same old people doing the same old things if thats the case as pertaining to Hillary. Not only that but even that white woman who killed her own children in South Carolina, had the cops looking for a black man wearing a skull cap. I mean and that black congress woman from Ohio who was helping that woman celebrate winning last night, fist of all she is a discrace to her race and she is not camera friendly. That smile if that aint a slave smile, I don`t know what is!

Is Obama Jesus?

Okay, I don't get your analogy here. Fighting or being "scrappy" in any contest and being crucified for your beliefs in order to ensure that many Christians can go to the Kingdom of heaven is not parallel.

If Obama wants this, he has to make inroads. He got cocky. McCain won his Nomination last night, Obama did not. Those are facts.

If you don't knock out a wounded animal, you give the animal LIFE and that is what Obama did last night.

Now, Governors of Florida and Michigan are calling for their delegates to be seated. Howard Dean gave them 2 options - follow the rules (let the committee decide or re-vote).

Obama is a lawyer. He should have realized that every possible scenario could happen and be prepared for it. He should have had his name on the Ballot in MI. Heck he lives in a nearby state of Illinois.

Now, they probably are going to revote and like OH, TX, CA, he is going to get a very hard push by Clinton and Clinton will likely win like she did the contests before.

That is sometimes the price of being a rookie in the game. He is a fabulous player at this stage. But, to win the DEMOCRATIC BASE, it is just more than inspiration, you have to be ready to scrap and fight.

That is what AMERICANS truly like. Sorry, but that is true.

Second, following a BIRACIAL negro who followed his white advisers and did not attend or support any black churches in Iowa or any other state b/c it would alienate the white vote IS A DISGRACE TO THEIR RACE.

Negro please! Of all people, blacks should allow other blacks to view and express their opinions freely.

Farrakhan believes what he believes religiously, but he is still black. Clarence Thomas believes what he believes but he is still black.

We are not a monolithic group. I commend a majority of Black America for giving Obama the push to be the presidential nominee for the Democratic party. That is your right to do so.

But, it is also other blacks right to exercise INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT. Now, you (negro please) have a right to your independent feeling to support Obama. Tubbs has a right to support Clinton in the race. She does not dislike Obama, she just thinks it takes more than 3 years on the national stage to run the hardest job in America.

I respect that of her, Sheila Jackson Lee, Maxine Waters and many others. I expect you overzealous and monolithic negroes to do the same. Peace!

We can see that the reference to Clarence Thomas gives the reader insight into the mind of the responder. I would guess that individual would also be fighting to rid us of afitmative action. And any person standing up for the Clintons, is getting what they deserve. They don`t want them around cause they`re not doing them any good but harm standing up in front of white crowds and being looked at as though you`re not welcome!

Obama we know is not Jesus, but if they treated him with such dismay how do you think they will treat his followers.

Your smart aleck reference to an earlier posting regarding someone referencing the name of Clarence Thomas shows insight into your mind.

It's Black people like you that tick me off. We are the only race of people who are supposed to think alike. Why can't we appreciate our different abilities and talents. No, that's not what we do. We will tear down any Black person who is not a member of the Democratic Party and start calling them ignorant names like "sell-out" or "Uncle Tom".

The Democrats love Black people like you because they know that they will always have your vote - no matter what. Ask yourself - how has your life improved under Democrat and Republican administrations? Probably, not much under either party. So why do Black's have this undying loyalty to the Democratic Party.

I'm an independent and I am not beholden to either party. I vote for the person and their platform, not the party.

It is so sad that we cannot appreciate the diversity within the Black race. I don't agree with the majority of Clarence Thomas rulings or Condoleeza Rice's policies. Nor do I agree with a lot of the rhetoric of Farrakhan, Jackson and Sharpton.

Even though, I do not agree with them at all times, I respect them. I respect what they have done and the road they had to take to get there. I respect the fact that none of them just sit back and don't do nothing. They put their talents on the line to get the job done.

All Black people should respect these people. Criticize their speeches and policies, but don't try stripping them of their blackness because they don't fit within your definition of what being Black is.

When Blacks try to keep other Blacks from thinking for themselves and doing what they think is right, it is then when I know who the real "sell-out" is.

It is that person who want all Blacks to remain on that "mental plantation" instead of forging our own paths.

Marques, Thank you. I appreciate your diversity of opinion.

We should agree to disagree and you are right, we need to attack people's POSITIONS not their race.

I hope other ignorant - or "ignant" folks start waking up and being a FREE AND INTELLIGENT BEING who can be CIVIL to agree to disagree.

The only traitor to his country I know was Benedict Arnold and that is because he sold secrets to Great Britain during the American Revolution. Hello. Read your history.

I say Clinton is a vile and vicious person. She and her campaign lied about Obama and the NAFTA comments. Check out the article at this link and judge for yourself.http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20080305.wharpleak0305/BNStory/National/home

So you say that, a man seeking to rid himself from the snares of slavery, and years of injustice, is doing something amiss?

But will look upon a Clarence Thomas who is doing everything he can to undo the works of Justice Thurgood Marshall, and turn back the rightous deeds of the pioneers of the civil rights movement.

Just try to imagine a Jewish brother trying to lead his people back under the precepts of Adolf Hitler You`ll not hear of it!

But a man seeking to left up his people, to bring about sense of achievement and progres you seem to find fault with.

I guess you need the junkies and vice to have something to make yourself feel good about.

I posted this in another column, but I at least wanted to give this to you guys as well.

The only thing you are frightened is that the proclaimed black messiah (named Barrack Obama) might not win the Democratic Nomination or Presidency because of his flaws and inexperience FINALLY being exposed.

Let me ask you this as a hypothetical: If Obama was "white" and spoke about hope and change with support of the Richest man in the World, Warren Buffet, and had only 3 years on the National Stage as U. S. Senator, would you or majority of Black America vote 77% to 90% for the White version of Obama if Clinton ran against him?

HELL NO! Black folks would say, I like his message and inspiration, but he needs more than 3 years of experience as a U. S. Senator to run this country as Commander in Chief and President of the U.S.

That is the point. Majority of Blacks are blinded by the perception that this is the only way and only time a black can be president of the U.S. That is crazy. For real.

You guys are not thinking OUTSIDE THE BOX. Being a VP is not a bad thing under Clinton. First, he is much younger than Gore when he would become it. Second, he could LEARN how to become Commander in Chief, Steward in Stimulating the Economy, Selecting Qualified Judges for the Supreme Court and creating coalitions with any type of Congress so that legislations that help America progress gets passed, and a diplomat for foreign affairs. Third, like Gore under Pres. Clinton, Obama will be able to be "mentored and groomed" to solidify the Democratic Base (not tear it apart like he is doing).

Obama needs to not make the same mistake Gore and Kerry did in their runs. For the past 30 years, only the Clintons have occupied the White House even with resistance from the Democratic party. They are fighters and Americans respect FIGHTERS and elect FIGHTERS. Their works during those years are far better than Reagan, Bush, Sr. & Jr.

Black folks need to get their heads out of the sky here and come back to earth for a bit. Be strategic. Being a VP is a first for any black. He can still be President another way, but be better equipped to minimize his flaws.

You call that women a fighter? NO! She is a manipulator. I bet she`s never had her nose busted, not even gotten a fat lip. Never served time in the military, and will quickly run behind her man for protection give me a break!

Have you ever fought in a boxing ring?

Have you ever had your back against the wall and had to win to stay in the game? Civil fighting like what lawyers do in court is what I am talking about.

That is what being a fighter is. She did that. You might not like her, but you have to RESPECT that she won TX, OH, and RI primaries to stay alive for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Being in the military does not make you a fighter. Hello, Obama doesn't even know how to spell MILITARY! nor has he served in it. So, does that make you not support Obama now?

Do I hear a Judgment argument coming? LOL

I will add this; that a man is naturally inclined to be tough and women the weeker gender.

Now if a woman has trained in the Armed Forces, she`s got that under her belt. However Clinton has not served, nor has Obama.

But if you were selcting a football team which would you choose first?
